TIPS FOR INSTALLING UPDATES
- Garmin software updates are bundled with updates for everything in the Garmin Marine ecosystem (a one-stop shop), meaning unlike other brands, you don't need to download and install separate software for other accessories, so, make sure when you run the update, ALL your Garmin accessories are turned ON, this includes Auto Pilots, Sonar Modules, Transducers, VHF radios, Radars, Sensors and Instruments.
- Some NMEA2000 networks are powered separately from the screens, if this is the case with your system, turn the network switch ON before running the update
- Ensure your battery is fully charged, DO NOT TURN THE POWER OFF WHILE A SOFTWARE UPDATE IN RUNNING
- It is not uncommon for updates to take longer than 20 minutes, BE PATINET, LET IT DO ITS THING!
